This long weekend course will appeal to flautists wishing to expand on their repertoire and expertise in performing. Run by three highly experienced performers and educators - Atarah Ben-Tovim, Gillian Poznansky and Mark Tanner - this residential course will run from Thursday 25th November (lunch) to Sunday 28th (closing with lunch). Please note that this is a course for adults only. An option to stay on for a further day or two, at a modest additional charge for residency, is offered. Fuller details will follow shortly, but Gillian and Mark will be happy to supply details to interested parties - just email us at gillianpoznansky@uko2.co.uk, mark@marktanner.info or click on the 'Contact Me' link and submit and enquiry.
There will be group sessions, mini-lectures and optional leisure activities to help build an interesting and valuble experience, but the main thrust of the course will be playing through repertoire under the guidance of professional players. Pianist Mark Tanner will be on hand, and this will provide a great opportunity to rehearse music that you've been itching to play through.
Prussia Cove, on the western tip of rugged Cornwall, is the perfect backdrop for such an occasion (indeed there have been many successful string courses at this venue). The ambience of the place and its stunning scenary make it the perfect location to conduct an adult residential course of this sort. There may be an opportunity for youngsters to attend for tuition, at one or two points during the weekend. Flautists over the age of 18 are invited to apply.
NB: we will be closing the application window once we have reached 20 applications, so you'd better hurry if you are interested!).
